January 14, 2022 Published by

What do you look for in a new home? Comfort, of course, but you also want access to everything that matters — schools, shopping, entertainment, and outdoor activities. In this short guide, you’ll discover six reasons why Delvin Downs Estate is one of the best neighborhoods in Nashville.

Shopping

As one of the best suburbs of Nashville, Delvin Downs Estates boasts a prime location. Less than five minutes from Lenox Village, Delvin Downs offers convenient access to many shopping venues. Several restaurants within walking distance serve everything from hearty pub fare to Asian fusion cuisine. Delvin Downs is also just a short distance away from other essentials, including hair salons, dentists, schools, and houses of worship. You can find nearly everything you need within easy reach.

Entertainment

Nashville is no stranger to world-class entertainment. After all, it is called “Music City” for a reason. The Tennessee Performing Arts Center features a full schedule of concerts, ballets, musicals, comedy shows, operas, plays, and more, plus popular Broadway shows like “The Lion King” and “Oklahoma.”

Let’s not forget about the Grand Ole Opry plus many small local venues where live music reigns supreme. Other great options include Nashville Zoo, several local cinemas, and Nissan Stadium, a top venue for sporting and music events throughout the year.

Outdoor Activities

From walking trails and golf courses to ziplining and river adventures, Nashville has lots to offer for outdoor enthusiasts. There’s Adventure Park, where you can tackle the ropes course and zip-line through the trees. The Cumberland River is ripe for riding kayaks, canoes, and pontoon boats. But right near one of the best neighborhoods in Nashville is the popular Mill Creek Park Greenway.

Mill Creek Park Greenway

Nature lovers won’t want to miss Mill Creek Park Greenway, a year-round accessible trail that’s perfect for biking, running, and walking. The Greenway is located in Pettus Park, less than two miles from Delvin Downs Estates. The trail is wheelchair-friendly and a great destination for walking with the kids, both on foot and in strollers. It’s a paved trail with asphalt, concrete, and wooden bridge sections throughout its 6.5-mile span. Parking is plentiful at several points throughout the trail, including designated accessible spaces. Dogs are more than welcome, but you’ll need to keep your furry companion on a leash.

Education

As one of the best neighborhoods in Nashville, Delvin Downs Estates is near several notable schools: May Wethan Shayne Elementary, William Henry Oliver Middle School, and John Overton High School. They’re all part of Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, offering quality education for children and teenagers living in the area. John Overton High School is an accredited Cambridge international school with a diverse student body, which benefits from a curriculum with college prep, career training, ESL studies, advanced academics, and more.

Make Your Home Near Historic Nolensville

Delvin Downs is just a short drive from Nolensville, a small town with more than 200 years of history. It boasts a charming and rustic vibe — plus, it’s home to Mill Creek Brewing Company, and The Painted Dragonfly, famous for its handcrafted gifts, gourmet goodies, and fabulous vintage finds. It’s also yet another reason to call Delvin Downs home. Customer Testimonials

Capitol Homes was able to give us the look we wanted without exceeding our budget. Our friends who have built custom homes told us to expect to go over budget by 10 to 20 percent … I say that they should have chosen David Luecke and Capitol Homes. Capitol completed our new home under budget and gave us more than we expected.Todd Kornblit
