When a tornado ripped through Hendersonville, TN destroying the place that the Hawkins family called home, Capitol Homes, Inc. wanted to help.
Jerrod, a Brentwood firefighter, was at work when the tornado hit. He could only watch the storm from his fire station. His wife Amy was at home with the kids. Bracing for the storm, Amy knew she had to protect her sons Jair (6) and Cole (3). She laid her body on top of theirs to protect them. Everyone survived. But Amy had head trauma, crushed vertebrae, and ribs, punctured lungs, and she was paralyzed from the waist down.
Together with the Extreme Makeover-Home Edition design team and local volunteers, Capitol Homes, Inc. helped build a beautiful new home for a very deserving family in a record-breaking 94 hours.
Capitol Homes was able to give us the look we wanted without exceeding our budget. Our friends who have built custom homes told us to expect to go over budget by 10 to 20 percent … I say that they should have chosen David Luecke and Capitol Homes. Capitol completed our new home under budget and gave us more than we expected.Todd Kornblit
